Wie zu erwarten war, ist die n\u00e4chtliche Ger\u00e4uschkulisse gepr\u00e4gt vom Hypo-Grunzen.<\/font> <\/p>\n

Gegen Morgen, die Sonne ist bereits aufgegangen, hat zudem eine Gruppe Affen auf dem Dach unserer H\u00fctte eine Lektion Morgengymnastik. H\u00f6chste Zeit also aufzustehen, denn wir wollen schon fr\u00fch weiter Richtung S\u00fcden fliegen. Das Ziel des heutigen Tages sind die Victoria F\u00e4lle, die in der N\u00e4he des (fast) Vierl\u00e4nderecks Namibia-Botswana-Simbabwe-Sambia liegen.<\/font><\/p>\n

Auf der Fahrt zum Flughafen halten wir noch kurz bei einer Schule an und verteilen eine paar Kugelschreiber und Luftballone. Der Sand wirbelt auf, die Sch\u00fcler sind hell begeistert, ganz im Gegensatz zum Schuldirektor, der zuerst vergeblich versucht, wieder Ordnung zu schaffen. <\/font><\/p>\n

Mit jedem Grad, das wir Richtung S\u00fcden fliegen, scheint sich der Thermometer gleich viel nach oben zu bewegen. Ganz so viel ist es in Wirklichkeit nicht, aber die Temperaturen beim Anflug um acht sind bereits so, dass wir erst kurz vor dem Start die hintere T\u00fcre schliessen. <\/font><\/p>\n

Dass das Wohl der Passagiere ist unseren Piloten von h\u00f6chster Priorit\u00e4t. So gibt es heute unterwegs eine direkte \u201cKundenbefragung\u201d. <\/font>Einzig mit dem 4 Gang Men\u00fc w\u00e4hrend des Fluges klappt es noch nicht und die feinen Landj\u00e4ger sind uns schon lange ausgegangen \u2026 \"Winking <\/font><\/p>\n

Immer wieder sieht man Buschfeuer. <\/font><\/p>\n

Frage bei der Landung: Wenn man kurz vor der Landung im rechten Fenster die Landebahn sieht, wo setzen wir dann auf?!? Mit unserer Caravan ist das aber kein Grund zur Sorge, wird wohl eine Landung im Grass. Oder wie das folgende Bild zeigt eine ganz normale Landung auf der alten Piste vom Victoria Falls Flugplatz.  <\/font><\/p>\n

Und das ist unser Hotel von Aussen: Das Victoria Falls Hotel. Ein riesiges Hotel im Kolonialstiel, das in n\u00e4chster N\u00e4he zu den gleichnamigen Wasserf\u00e4llen liegt.<\/font><\/p>\n

Und hier sind sie, die Victoria Falls. Mit \u00fcber 100 Meter Fallh\u00f6he sind sie fast doppelt so hoch wie die Niagara F\u00e4lle. Aktuell f\u00fchrt der Zambezi Fluss nicht viel Wasser. Das ist f\u00fcr den Besuch aber von Vorteil, denn bei Hochwasser ist die ganze Gegend ins Wasserdampf geh\u00fcllt. Viel von den F\u00e4llen sieht man dann nicht. <\/font><\/p>\n
